In a statement, the ITIA explained, “30-year-old Fancutt, who achieved a career-high doubles ranking of 107 in December 2024, admitted to breaching Article 2.2 of the TADP (use of a Prohibited Method) by receiving an intravenous infusion over the accepted limit on December 3, 2024. The limit under the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC) and TADP is 100mL in a 12-hour period.”
The statement further noted, “Time served under the voluntary provisional suspension is credited against the period of ineligibility. Consequently, Fancutt’s suspension will conclude on January 18, 2026. He will also forfeit results and prize money attained from the date of the first ADRV (December 3, 2024) to the date of his first subsequent negative doping control sample, which was provided on January 16, 2025. During his ineligibility period, Fancutt is barred from participating in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorized or sanctioned by ITIA member organizations (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon, and USTA) or any national association.”
Fancutt holds a career-high singles ranking of 382, currently standing at 723 in the ATP leaderboard, with a doubles career-high of 107.
