Chiefs vs Eagles: National Anthem and Halftime Performers for Week 2’s Epic Match-Up – Schedule Released”
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch this Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The game, featuring stars Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, will also include a halftime show.
The singing of the national anthem will be performed by Retired Navy Petty Officer First Class Generald Wilson, who is known for his incredible vocal talent. Wilson’s performances exceed 1,000 occasions, including notable NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, Indy 500, Formula 1, and NCAA Championships events. Following the anthem, a B2 Spirit Stealth Bomber will fly over the stadium, courtesy of Whiteman Air Force Base, with the City of Olathe Fire Department presenting the colors.
Halftime will feature a performance from the Langston University Marching Pride Band, known for their show-stopping performances at events such as the Pepsi National Battle of the Bands, Honda Battle of the Bands, and NBA halftime shows.
The game day festivities commence with parking lots opening at 11:00 AM and the Ford Tailgate District in Lot M beginning at 11:30 AM. Festivities will feature live music and performances from the Chiefs Rumble and Cheerleaders with the stadium gates opening at 1:30 PM.
Those who cannot attend in person can tune in via Fox’s “America’s Game of the Week,” KFNZ-FM (96.5 The Fan), or a Spanish broadcast on KSSA (105.9 FM). The Chiefs Mobile app will also provide streaming options within a 50-mile radius of Kansas City. In addition to the game highlights, Tyrann Mathieu, and Private First Class Tyler Dixon will be recognized, and Captain Ronda Montgomery will be awarded the Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat, acknowledging her 31-year tenure as a Season Ticket Member.
