Christian Horner Receives $100M After Red Bull Dismissal,…

The former principal of the Red Bull team, Christian Horner, has settled on the terms of his abrupt departure with the company. Horner had been let go in July and put on gardening leave while negotiations concerning the payout for the early termination of his contract took place. As of Monday, September 22, the agreed payout for Horner is reportedly around $100 million.

Horner will be paid this sum by Red Bull’s parent company for leaving his contract prematurely. As a result, the 51-year-old is no longer officially tied to Red Bull and free to join another team for the next season.

In his farewell statement on RedBullRacing.com, Horner mentioned his pride in leading the team since 2005 and achieving various records. Furthermore, he expressed his satisfaction in leading a group of talented individuals and witnessing their growth. He wished his colleagues all the best for the future and showed confidence in their capabilities to achieve success on the racetrack.

Following Horner’s statement, the CEO Corporate Projects and Investments, Oliver Mintzlaff, thanked Horner for his dedication and influential role in establishing Red Bull Racing as one of the top-performing teams in Formula 1.

Horner has been replaced by Laurent Mekies, who has shown support for Max Verstappen in recent races. Verstappen recently triumphed in Monza and Baku.
