Cristiano Ronaldo Pops the Question: Details on the Engagement Ring’s Worth and Size

After dating for eight years, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has officially proposed to his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez. Ronaldo, who is 40 years old, proposed with a stunning diamond ring.

A picture of the engagement was shared by Rodriguez on Instagram. The image showed a beautifully large diamond ring on her hand, which was resting on Ronaldo’s hand. The caption of the image in translation read, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”

As for the ring, it featured an impressive oval-cut diamond on a smooth band. Marca cited jewelry experts who estimated the diamond to be between 10 to 15 carats and valued over $1 million.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez first went public with their relationship at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in early 2017. That May, they made their relationship Instagram official. In the following month, they revealed the birth of their twins via a surrogate. Their daughter Alana Martina was born on November 12, 2017.

The couple shared in October 2021 that they were expecting another set of twins. However, a tragedy struck in April 2022 when their newborn son passed away shortly after birth. Ronaldo shared the heartbreaking news, stating, “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.”

In her Netflix series, I Am Georgina, Rodriguez spoke about the start of their relationship. She reminisced about the times Ronaldo would pick her up from her then job at a Gucci store in posh cars. “Many times he’d come after work,” she shared. “He would come, I remember once, in a Bugatti. My coworkers went crazy.”
