Despite Stellar 2024 Season, Brian Robinson Jr. Faces Potential Trade by Washington Commanders | Times of India NFL News”

The Washington Commanders are reportedly considering trading their running back, Brian Robinson Jr. Despite delivering a career-best performance in his third NFL season, with 8 touchdowns from 187 rushing attempts covering 799 yards, the Commanders appear open to offers for their 2022 round-pick player.

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reported on August 18 that Robinson Jr., a former third-round pick from Alabama, is entering the final year of his contract, generating speculation that the Commanders are seeking to move him on. However, some fans question this move, given his impressive performances thus far.

Currently, Robinson Jr. commands a $3.62 million cap hit and a dead cap value of $283,008 for 2025. His contract details show he will earn a base salary of $3.4 million in the 2025 season and will hit free agency in 2026.

A report in Commanders Wire of USA Today from Bryan Manning suggests that the Commanders would not be so quick to cut Robinson. Instead, his departure could provide a way for the team to achieve a draft pick next year.

In his NFL career so far, Robinson Jr. has reached 15 touchdowns from 570 rushing attempts covering 2,329 yards in 41 games. He has also accumulated 65 receptions and 5 touchdowns on 587 receiving yards.

Five potential landing spots for Robinson Jr. have been suggested by Jacob Camenker of USA Today, including the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Los Angeles Chargers.
