Edmonton Oiler star Andrew Mangiapane and Claudia Tersigni recently welcomed a baby boy named AJ. The couple shared the first pictures of their son, displaying the joyful new addition to their family. The photos shared on Instagram depicted moments from the hospital in Alberta, which included images of Claudia and Andrew holding their newborn child, Claudia in the hospital bed with AJ, and Andrew ready to take their child home.

AJ Mangiapane was born on August 7, 2025. Claudia shared the exciting news on Instagram with the caption, “One week of loving you AJ. Arriving August 7 at 7 lbs 0 oz, just 72 hours after getting back to Alberta. The best surprise!” Photographs of their time in the hospital showcase the couple with their newborn and includes a heartfelt image of Claudia holding AJ.

Before AJ’s arrival, Andrew had signed a two-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers on July 1, 2025, marking an exciting time for him as he became a father for the first time just after a month of becoming an Oiler. It was certainly a busy summer for Andrew, who had spent the initial seven seasons of his NHL career with the Calgary Flames and then had a season with the Washington Capitals before moving to Edmonton.
