Exclusive: Inside Campbell Hatton’s Journey and Early Retirement from Boxing World.

British boxing legend Ricky Hatton’s son, Campbell Hatton, retired from the sport at the age of 24, a few months before his father’s tragic death. Ricky Hatton, who held six world titles in three weight divisions, was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester with no suspicion of foul play.

Campbell Hatton, once predicted to be a future boxing star, left the sport behind after only a few years. He had a successful start in his professional debut in 2021 with a knockout victory against Attila Csereklye. By 2023, he had a victorious streak of 14 wins.

Unfortunately, Campbell’s career took a negative turn in 2024 with consecutive losses to James Flint. Despite efforts to bounce back, the successive defeats led to his decision to retire in the same year.

Apart from his sports career, personal struggles also contributed to Campbell’s retirement. According to a report, Ricky had stated that Campbell was facing difficulties in and out of the ring. He lost one of his closest friends, Justin, at only 27 years of age. This took a toll on him emotionally and affected his enthusiasm for the sport.

Campbell’s father, Ricky, despite his legendary status, supported his son’s decision to leave boxing if it meant prioritizing his well-being. Campbell Hatton is now working as a solar panel installer.
