Fans Criticize Daniil Medvedev’s Theatrics in Surprising US Open Exit

Daniil Medvedev experienced a shocking exit in the first round of the US Open, falling to Benjamin Bonzi in a match filled with contentious moments.

The game was delayed for about six minutes when Medvedev disputed an officiating decision after a photographer’s interference during Bonzi’s serve.

Displeased with a call that allowed Bonzi to retake his first serve, Medvedev expressed his frustration by throwing racquets into the stands and smashing one against the bench, injuring his hand.
