Former NFL player Johnny Manziel enters Special Forces reality show post $7.7 million Career

Former NFL player and Heisman Trophy recipient Johnny Manziel is now venturing into reality television. The 32-year-old retired quarterback, once a rising star in the world of football, will feature in the Fox reality show “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test”. After his NFL career ending with a total earning of $7.7 million, Manziel will test his strength and resilience through demanding military-style training on screen.

The upcoming season was filmed in Morocco, with participants challenging their physical and mental prowess through a tough series of tasks. The show, first aired in 2022, is known for its extreme challenges that include swimming in freezing water, sky-high climbing, and weathering harsh conditions. Filming in Morocco’s arid desert environment, participants will have to bear hot days, cold nights, and strenuous survival tasks.

Manziel will join other famous athletes and stars such as former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb, ex-New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker, Olympic gold-medalist Shawn Johnson, former USWNT captain Christie Pearce, and former NBA player Nick Young on the show.

Despite being a first-round NFL pick, Manziel had a short stint in the NFL league. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns in 2014 but was released in two seasons. Post his NFL tenure, Manziel played for the Canadian Football League and the Alliance of American Football. He retired in 2022, after a brief period with the FCF Zappers. Now, off the football field, he faces an intense reality show where the goal is survival.
