Gambhir’s Emotional Communication with Father Post England Rejection Unveiled
The news story is about the disappointment of Abhimanyu Easwaran, a promising Indian cricketer. Despite hopes and considerable speculation from experts about his inclusion, Easwaran was overlooked for the series opener against England in Leeds in June. He had been performing well in games for India A and was hoping his wait for a place in the team would end at The Oval.
However, denial of a chance left him “pissed off.” This was revealed by his father Ranganathan Parameshwaran Easwaran in a YouTube chat with Vickey Lalwani. Despite the disappointment, Ranganathan added that his son immediately began focusing on the forthcoming Duleep Trophy, determined not to let this setback distract from his long-term dream.
Easwaran’s father shared details of their phone conversation after the final Test snub. Easwaran planned to go to Bengaluru for the Duleep Trophy, return to Dehradun briefly, and then head back. His father stated: “I told him, ‘Son, you have lived your dream.’ He replied, ‘I understand. I’ve lived my dream for 23 years, and not getting picked for one or two matches won’t shatter that.'”
Ranganathan additionally revealed that head coach Gautam Gambhir had a motivating chat with Easwaran saying that he would get a fair opportunity in the Indian team and wouldn’t be instantly judged based on a double failure.
Ranganathan stated, “‘Gautam Gambhir assured my son, ‘you’re doing the right things, you’ll get your turn, you’ll get a long run. I’m not the one who will push you out after one or two matches. I’ll give you a long rope.” That’s what my son communicated to me. The entire coaching team assured him that he’ll get his due, he’ll get his long run. That’s the best I can say. My son has been waiting for 4 years, but he’s put in 23 years of hard work.”
