Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark Suffers Further Injury Setback, Reports NBA News Times of India

Indiana Fever star guard, Caitlin Clark, has faced another injury setback. This WNBA season has been troublesome for Clark who is now dealing with a tough period in her sports career. A recent report suggests another injury has left her immediate future for this season dubious. The Indiana Fever’s chance for playoff is now challenged due to multiple injuries.

Furthermore, Clark is reportedly hit with a bone bruise in addition to her ongoing groin injury. She’s been out of the game since July 15 due to a right groin injury sustained during a road game at Connecticut. Preceding setbacks include issues with her left quad and left groin. The star athlete has missed 22 games in total, including the last 13 straight, and even sat out the All-Star weekend in Indianapolis.

During a workout in Phoenix on August 7, Clark is said to have obtained a ‘very mild’ bone bruise in her left ankle. However, this injury won’t alter her recovery schedule as she remains rehabbing her groin. The team reportedly doesn’t have a timetable for her return.

The team still hopes that she can recover in time for some of their final regular season games. Clark, who never missed a single game during her career at Iowa and represented Indiana in every contest in 2024, is known for her high durability, making her absence all the more noticeable to fans.

Despite losing other key players to season-ending injuries, the Indiana Fever maintains sixth place at a 19-16 record, clinging onto a playoff position. According to Clark, this streak of injuries has been extremely hard for her to deal with. The team has yet to confirm any updates on her return.
