During the US Open semifinals, Men’s world number one tennis player, Jannik Sinner, suffered an injury scare which led to a medical timeout between the second and third sets. The audience and fans expressed concerns for Sinner’s health ahead of the final with Carlos Alcaraz, despite Sinner claiming the discomfort was temporary and soon subsided.
Sinner’s coach, Simone Vagnozzi, reassured fans and the public by stating that the injury was not serious. He also revealed that his player’s slight abdominal discomfort had already been addressed by the physiotherapist and had gone natural soon after.
Vagnozzi also stated that the team is fully prepared for the final against Alcaraz. According to him, Sinner had been serving well after his recovery and was confident heading into the match. The coach asserted that the team had several tactical ideas to implement against Alcaraz and that their key strategy was to remain calm, have fun, and enjoy the game.
This injury news comes after Sinner was forced to retire midway from their previous face-off at the Cincinnati Masters final due to illness. Fans are eagerly hoping for Sinner’s strong comeback and wish to see him claim his fifth Grand Slam title.
