Jason Kelce’s Saxophone Performance Captivates Audience at Ravens’ Pregame Show | NFL News | The Times of India

Jason Kelce, ex-center for the Philadelphia Eagles, thrilled the crowd on Monday, September 22, with an unexpected performance with the Baltimore Ravens’ pregame band in Baltimore. The 37-year-old retired NFL star adorned a complete Marching Ravens outfit and confidently flaunted his saxophone skills during the warmups ahead of the Ravens’ game versus the Detroit Lions.

Kelce has been engaged with music since his high school days. After graduating in 2006 from Cleveland Heights High School, he featured in the school jazz band and symphonic winds ensemble as a baritone saxophonist, as reported by CBS Philadelphia. He continued his love for music even throughout his football days with the Eagles, combining the two passions by contributing to the Eagles’ festive albums.

In a conversation on the podcast, New Heights with Travis Kelce, Jason outlined the value he places on music: “I genuinely believe that my involvement with music has greatly aided my prowess in sport and other spheres. The more time you dedicate to practice, the better you become. It truly is that simple.”

The former NFL star has consistently encouraged children to diversify their interests. He firmly supports the idea that attempting a variety of sports and extracurricular activities that one finds enjoyable can help accumulate uniquely diverse elements from each. Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, also shares his enthusiasm for involving kids in newer ventures. In fact, she announced in January 2024 that their daughters too would be introduced to musical and creative activities.

Fans who watched Jason perform prior to the Ravens’ game got a sneak peek into his life beyond the gridiron, painting a heartening picture of him not just as an athlete, but also as an ardent musician and mentor.
