Jayden Daniels and Ja’Marr Chase Rekindle Camaraderie; Fans Celebrate LSU Icons’ Reunion
The quarterback for the Washington Commanders, Jayden Daniels, and the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, Ja’Marr Chase, had a warm interaction prior to their pregame on Monday, August 18th. Both players are former students of Louisiana State University (LSU), although they did not attend at the same time. A photo was captured of the pair shaking hands and exchanging words, causing fans to reminisce about their shared history at LSU.
Jayden Daniels was the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner, according to On3, and is preparing for his second season with the Commanders. Recently, he spoke about the importance of building strength and endurance in his position, needing to withstand hits from some of the best in the game.
Ja’Marr Chase, on the other hand, was part of LSU’s 2019 national championship team. The two players’ reunion before the game was announced by the official NFL social media account. Many fans took to social media to express their excitement about seeing two of the best in the game interacting cordially, even though they now play for opposing teams.
The Commanders will be up against the Baltimore Ravens soon while the Bengals face the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, August 23.
