Kepler, Marsh Hit Homers and Walker Leads Shutout; Phillies Triumph Over Orioles 5-0

On August 6, 2025, Max Kepler and Brandon Marsh drove the Philadelphia Phillies to victory against the Baltimore Orioles with home runs. Taijuan Walker also pitched six scoreless innings. This win extended the Phillies’ winning streak to three games.

Marsh opened the scoring with an RBI double, scoring Nick Castellanos. He also added a solo homer later, his third in seven games. Albeit, he had gone 18 games without a home run prior to this.

Kepler hit a two-run homer in the second inning, with Bryson Stott adding another run for the Phillies with an RBI triple. He drove Kepler home with this hit.

Walker struck out four players and only allowed four hits in his six innings of playing.

On the Orioles’ side, Dean Kremer suffered the loss after allowing eight hits and four earned runs in his six innings of play. Jordan Westburg had two hits for the Orioles who lost their fifth game out of the last six. Baltimore couldn’t keep up their streak of seven straight games with a homer against Philadelphia, this time ending.

Castellanos extended his hitting streak with a single and advanced to second base on a balk. Marsh later scored him.

In the series finale, the Orioles are planning on having Trevor Rogers face off against the Phillies Ranger Suárez.
