Latest Update on Jordan Love’s Thumb Injury: How Will it Impact Green Bay Packers?

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love seemed to have suffered an injury at the team’s Monday training camp in Wisconsin. However, reports suggest the injury is not serious.

Love appeared to have injured his left thumb, but remained a full participant throughout the training session. According to a report from Matt Schneidman at The Athletic, Love was observed flexing his injured thumb in front of the trainers and coaches at one point. Schneidman noted that Love wasn’t limited in practice, though he did opt to use his right hand for throws and hand-offs.

Despite the injury, it appears Love had a comprehensive discussion with Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur and trainers Bryan Engel and Nate Weir, possibly regarding the injury status. Up till now, Love’s preseason training has not been interrupted, apart from a bit of discomfort due to the thumb issue.

The seriousness of Love’s injury is still unclear, but an update is expected when LaFleur and General manager Brian Gutekunst address the media on Tuesday.

Next on the Packers’ schedule is a joint practice session with the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, August 14, with a pre-season match against the Colts on Saturday, August 16.
