The reigning La Liga champions have faced financial fair play challenges for several years, hindering player registration.

At his unveiling, Rashford expressed, “Very excited. I think it’s a club where people’s dreams come true. They win big prizes. And what the club stands for really means a lot to me. So it feels like home.”

“Another factor is the positive conversations I had with the manager (Hansi Flick). What he accomplished last season was impressive. Leading a young team to success and returning for pre-season still eager for more demonstrates what I believed about the club. Yet, as with life, not everything is straightforward. This is my next chapter, and I’m committed to improving myself and helping the team win trophies,” he added.

The club stated, “Rashford can play anywhere in attack. Right-footed, he has the ability to take on players and is an excellent finisher, talents he will now showcase in a Barca shirt.”

Reflecting on his move to Barcelona, he stated, “I was certain of my preference (to join Barcelona) from the beginning. Actually, from maybe in January. It didn’t work out then, so I went to Villa and enjoyed that period.”

“It was time for a new decision. Choosing Barcelona was easy. It’s a family club, which resonates with my past experiences. It feels like home,” he added.
