Max Verstappen Excels in Rainy Nordschleife for Special F1…
Max Verstappen is proving there are no bounds to his racing abilities. Amidst a two-week break between the Italian and Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Red Bull star took the opportunity to showcase his talents at the Nordschleife where he competed to earn his race permit. This permit would allow him to compete not only in Formula 1 but also in a GT3 car in the months ahead.
With an impressive sixth-place finish in his class at the Nordschleife, and yet another Formula 1 victory under his belt at the Italian Grand Prix, it’s clear Verstappen continues to make his mark in the world of racing. A part of his journey to obtain an A Permit, Verstappen competed in the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), completing 14 laps for this classification. Racing in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, Verstappen expressed his ambitions to compete in the GT3 category at the Nordschleife, praising the historic and challenging layout.
Eager to demonstrate his versatility as a racer, Verstappen managed to balance his commitment to Formula 1 while chasing his GT racing dream. Having already achieved his third win of the year at the Grand Prix in Italy, Verstappen is now set for the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku from September 19-21, where he previously claimed victory in 2022.
