Micah Parsons forecasts a ‘make or break’ for Cowboys, makes daring MVP selection.
Marcus Spears, the ESPN analyst and former NFL player, describes the 2025 season for Dallas Cowboys as “boom or bust” after finishing 7-10. Dak Prescott’s return and Micah Parsons’ trade request have reportedly shaken the team. The Cowboys missed the postseason in the 2024-25 season due to Prescott’s injuries. However, he is now back in shape, and Parsons has requested a trade-off.
Spears suggests that the situation is critical for the team. “It’s like buying into a stock, and it could literally shoot through the roof, or you could lose all your life savings,” he said on Monday Night Countdown while expressing his concern about how they will get Parsons back into the fold.
Nevertheless, Spears still believes the Cowboys have a winning chance if they can negotiate terms with Parsons and pair offensive addition George Pickens with CeeDee Lamb. He states that the team can be as dangerous as anybody if the new offensive line can come together. Speaking about Prescott, he added, “Finally, has a No. 2…with George Pickens coming over from the Pittsburgh Steelers. We already know how good CeeDee Lamb is.”
He also suggested that if the team can get the running game going with the young offensive line, Prescott might be in the conversation for MVP. “They have enough talent,” he concluded.
