The short promo film features Natalia and Jalen wearing the sneakers and was released on a Tuesday morning. Jalen has been known to wear Nike Kobe trainers for a long time and took the opportunity to feature the new designs in his social media posts.

The ad has a New York twist as Jalen enters a jewelry shop, interested in the new Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Halo” colorway. Natalia is seen working on the new Nike Kobe shoes in the shop.

In the ad, as Jalen reaches for the shoe Natalia was working on, she pulls it away quoting a famous remark from Michael Jordan, “Woah! You reach, I teach!” which implies that Nike is going all out to market Kobe’s third signature basketball sneaker.

Moreover, Nike has continued its tradition to honor the legendary Lakers player by releasing new Kobe trainers on his birthday each year. On Kobe’s 47th birthday, the Kobe 3 Protro “Halo,” an improved version of the 2007 edition will be released.
