NHL Goalie Samuel Montembeault Ties the Knot with Daryanne Ayotte in Montreal

Goalie for the Montreal Canadiens, Samuel Montembeault tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Daryanne Ayotte on August 16 in Montreal. The two have been dating for seven years and their relationship began at the Festival du Blé d’Inde in St-Celestin back in 2018.

Many Montreal Canadiens teammates joined the couple along with their families and friends at their wedding ceremony. Notably, the event occurred at the Four Seasons Hotel. Emma Fortin, the wife of Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher, was part of the bridal party. Several Canadiens players like David Savard, Alexandre Carrier, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Jonathan Drouin, and Mike Matheson also joined the celebration.

Adding a delightful touch to the elegant affair, Montembeault and Ayotte had their dogs, Gigi and Gucci, present at the reception in cute outfits, indicative of the couple’s love for their pets.

The summer season has been filled with weddings for the Canadiens. Earlier, the players attended Joel Edmundson’s wedding in the UK, Patrik Laine’s wedding in Florida, and a grand ceremony in Montreal for captain Nick Suzuki. Montembeault’s wedding marked the last offseason wedding for the Canadiens and brought the focus back to hockey. The team’s rookie camp is set to open on September 11, with the Prospect Showdown the following weekend.

As the 2025-26 NHL season approaches, training camp will start soon. Montembeault’s wedding was a heartfelt affair which marked the end of the offseason festivities. Now, the goaltender and his teammates are ready to shift their focus back to the ice for the upcoming season.
