NHL Stars Gudbranson and Gagner Extend European Getaway After Draisaitl’s Nuptials | Times of India

This article is about the extended European holiday enjoyed by NHL superstars Erik Gudbranson and Sam Gagner, which took place after Leon Draisaitl’s wedding in France. Not satisfied with the grandeur of the wedding at Domaine de Manville in Les-Baux-de-Provence, Gagner and Gudbranson, accompanied by their respective families, continued to soak in the European charm, indulging in scenic beauty, scrumptious food, and light socializing.

Gagner, along with his wife Rachel, shared the highlights of their trip on Instagram. Not limited to enjoying a vacation in France, the couple was seen in the company of Columbus Blue Jackets alternate captain Gudbranson and his wife Sarah at a picturesque lakeside retreat. Rachel humorously declared “Can’t get rid of them” referencing their friends tagging along for the trip.

However, the getaway wasn’t exclusive to couples but had the pleasant atmosphere of a family affair. Images showed both families sharing meals in a white gazebo by the lake, others lounging in a camper van, indicating this trip was more than sightseeing, presenting a deep bond of friendship.

Before the wedding, the Gagners had made the most of their European summer travelling from Ibiza, Spain, where hockey wife Rachel had an unexpected meeting with Lauren McDavid, Connor McDavid’s wife, at the Paris International Airport. McDavid was heading to Italy, adding to the chances of more NHL star meetings across Europe this summer.

Together with the enchanting views of the hills of Provence and sunny lakes, Erik Gudbranson, Sam Gagner, and their families are relishing their offseason. What started as a destination wedding has now turned into a joint European adventure, demonstrating that friendships within the hockey world can extend far beyond the rink.
