Norris and Hamilton Dominate Azerbaijan GP Practice, Leclerc…

During the Azerbaijan Grand Prix practice sessions, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton came out on top. The first and second free practice sessions were dominated by McLaren and Ferrari, respectively. Lando Norris achieved first place in the first practice (FP1), followed by Oscar Piastri. Lewis Hamilton led the second practice (FP2).

Charles Leclerc showcased stable performance, placing among the top three in both sessions. Remarkably, he has secured the pole position in Baku for four consecutive seasons.

In FP1, Norris and Piastri emerged the fastest, however, neither could secure a place in the top three during FP2. They were accompanied by Charles Leclerc who grabbed third place. The fourth place went to George Russell from Mercedes, while Alex Albon from Williams claimed the fifth spot.

During FP2, Ferrari led the way with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in the first two positions. Mercedes wasn’t far behind, with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli finishing third and fourth respectively. Oliver Bearman from Haas secured the fifth spot.

The third free practice session (FP3) is planned to be held at 12:30 pm (2:00 pm IST) on Saturday. Qualifying will commence at 4:00 pm (5:30 pm IST). The main race is on Sunday at 3:00 pm (4:30 pm IST).

Despite securing the pole since 2021, Leclerc has been unable to convert pole positions into victories, a trend his fans are hoping will change this Sunday. With McLaren’s recent victories, many fans and experts expect the team to win the Constructors Championship in Baku.
