The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has confirmed that Pakistan will not participate in the upcoming FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup in India, scheduled from November 28 to December 28 in Chennai and Madurai. Pakistan’s replacement will be announced shortly by the FIH.

The withdrawal comes amid political and diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly following recent conflicts which have disrupted bilateral sporting events. This event marks the first time the Junior World Cup will be hosted in India since 2021, drawing top youth hockey teams globally. Pakistan’s exit is significant given its historic rivalry with India.
