Paul David Skenes, pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, wasn’t able to contain his blush during a playful TikTok video shared by his girlfriend, Olivia Paige Dunne. The video was posted after their intimate date in New York City on October 29, 2025.

The couple, who had been recently dining together in Manhattan, seemed relaxed and taking pleasure in their time off from baseball. The TikTok video showed Dunne lip-syncing to the song “The Boy Is Mine,” with Skenes beaming and blushing. She cheekily captioned the video with “Back off boys,” directed at fans who consistently probe about Skenes in Dunne’s comment section.

The TikTok video revealed Dunne in a casual outfit, dancing playfully next to an always smiling Skenes. The couple had recently come back from a vacation in Italy earlier in October. Their appearance in New York was one of the couple’s first public appearances since their return to U.S soil. Dunne’s entertaining TikTok offered fans insight into their effortless chemistry, while Skenes’ shy smile disclosed his softer side off the baseball field.

The two met while studying at Louisiana State University (LSU). Skenes was a standout pitcher who led LSU to a College World Series title in 2023 and Dunne was part of the LSU gymnastics team before retiring in April 2025. Skenes had an impressive season with a 1.97 ERA in 32 starts and 216 strikeouts over 187 2/3 innings. Despite the Pirates missing the postseason, Skenes’ achievements were acknowledged when the MLB Players Association awarded him the National League Outstanding Pitcher of the Year on October 23, 2025. The post-season break appears to be well spent, with Skenes unwinding with Dunne.
