Red Bull’s 3 Million Payoff for Woman in Christian Horner…

Red Bull’s 3 Million Payoff for Woman in Christian Horner…

Former Red Bull Formula One boss, Christian Horner, has paid a woman (whose identity is legally protected) approximately £3 million so she would drop her misconduct accusations against him and leave the Red Bull team. According to various reports, the woman is now with another team and was spotted at the Singapore Grand Prix in September.

Horner was officially removed from position at Red Bull on September 22, 2025. The payoff follows some internal tensions within the team after screenshots of WhatsApp messages, allegedly involving Horner, leaked in February 2024. Even though twice cleared by internal and independent investigations, the situation kept resurfacing.

Christian Horner led the Red Bull team from 2005, bringing the team eight drivers’ titles and six constructors’ titles along with drivers Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. He has, since the start of this controversy, denied all accusations.

Horner is now reportedly looking for a return to Formula One. Reports suggest that he has been inquiring with multiple team owners for a possible role, though it seems none are planning to hire him. According to The Guardian, Aston Martin’s team principal Andy Cowell said that while Horner has approached multiple teams, hiring him is currently not in the plans.

Horner left Red Bull with a reported severance package of £80 million and is now keen on making a comeback for the Spring 2026 F1 season.
