Sachin Tendulkar: Mohammed Siraj’s Pace Unsettling for Batsmen

Cricket News Today | Live Cricket Match Score | Latest News Cricket Schedule” reports that Sachin Tendulkar has lauded the performance of Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj in the England tour, stating that no batsman likes facing him. Tendulkar praised Siraj for his daring display throughout the series and emphasized how his aggressive swing often caused issues for the opposing batters.

In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, Siraj rose to the occasion when India most needed him, producing a game-changing spell at the Oval. With a five-wicket haul in the second innings, Siraj effectively utilized the old ball and shifted the momentum of the game in India’s favour, enabling the visitors to register a notable victory.

Tendulkar applauded Siraj’s courageous show across the series, remarking on how he consistently troubled the opposition with his sharp swing and impressively preserved his pace even on the final day of the match.

Commenting on Siraj’s performance, Tendulkar said, “Unbelievable. Superb approach. I love his attitude. I love the spring in his legs. For a fast bowler to be constantly in your face like that, no batsman will like it. And the approach he had till the end on the last day, I could hear commentators also saying he bowled around 90mph (145kph) on the last day after having bowled more than 1000 deliveries in the series. That shows his courage and big heart.”

Siraj’s pivotal contribution came on the fifth and final day of the last Test at the Oval, leading India to bowl out England for 367 in a chase of 374. For his commanding performance which saw him claim nine wickets in two innings, Siraj was named Player of the Match. Tendulkar paid tribute to Siraj, stating that while his crucial role often goes unrecognized, he continually delivers the knockout punches when it matters most.
