Salah Shines as Egypt Secures Spot in 2026 FIFA World Cup
Mohamed Salah is set for another world stage appearance as he leads Egypt to the World Cup next summer.

The Liverpool icon scored twice in Egypt’s 3-0 victory over Djibouti on Wednesday, securing the top position in their African qualifying group with a match left to play.
Egypt joins Morocco and Tunisia as one of the first African nations to qualify, with Ibrahim Adel contributing to the scoreline.

In Group D, Cape Verde managed a comeback to draw 3-3 with Libya, edging closer to their first World Cup, leading Cameroon by two points. Cameroon defeated Mauritius 2-0 with goals from Nicolas Ngamaleu and Bryan Mbeumo. Angola drew 2-2 against Eswatini in the same group.
Ghana moved closer to qualification with a dominant 5-0 win over the Central African Republic, requiring just one more point. Madagascar sits second in Group I after a 2-1 victory against Comoros.
In other results, Mali won 2-0 against Chad, Niger triumphed 3-1 over Congo, and Zambia secured a 1-0 win over Tanzania in Group E.
