Sixth Grandchild for Hockey Legend Wayne Gretzky, Welcomes Newborn Walter Boone Gretzky Eby

Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky became a grandfather for the sixth time when his daughter Emma Gretzky and her partner Stone Eby welcomed their son, Walter Boone-Gretzky Eby, on August 11. Emma Gretzky prefers to stay out of the limelight compared to her sister, Paulina Gretzky, who is often in the public eye.

The newborn, Walter, joins the Gretzky grandchildren which includes Paulina’s sons, Tatum and River, and Ty Gretzky’s daughters Sicily and Vienna, and Trevor Gretzky’s daughter Phoenix.

Emma and Stone, who had been partners for two years and both recently graduated from Southern Methodist University, announced Walter’s arrival with a series of photos on Instagram. The posts included a close-up of Emma’s radiant smile with baby Walter in her arms, and a snapshot of the baby wrapped in a grey army print swaddling blanket.

A few days later, Emma shared an Instagram story of her son holding her finger, where the focus was on her diamond eternity ring. The relationship of Emma and Stone was brought to light when in June, a sports page on Facebook announced Emma’s pregnancy, quoting an Instagram post of the couple where Emma was seen cradling her baby bump next to Eby and their dogs, captioned, “Oh boy… coming in August!”.

This joyful event adds a new chapter to the Gretzky family story.
