Skyy Moore Shifts from Quartet to Quintet Super Bowl Champions | NFL News Times of India
The Kansas City Chiefs, a 4-time Super Bowl-winning team, are looking to improve after failing to achieve a three-peat. As part of their efforts, they have decided to focus on their 2022 NFL Draft’s second-round, 54th overall pick – Skyy Moore. Moore, despite beginning his NFL career as a two-time Super Bowl champion, only made 43 receptions for 494 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in 36 games. This underperformance is one of the reasons the Chiefs are looking to make changes before the 2025 NFL season starts. Consequently, they have decided to trade their wide receiver, Skyy Moore, and a 2027 seventh-round pick to their Super Bowl rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round draft choice.
The San Francisco 49ers stand to benefit from this trade as they are looking to reinforce their wide receiver room. The team will be without their star wideouts, Brandon Aiyuk and Demarcus Robinson, in the early weeks of the 2025 season due to injury and suspension, respectively. Additionally, their other wide receiver, Jauan Jennings, is dealing with a calf injury and is discontent with his contract. Meanwhile, rookie wideout Jordan Watkins is suffering from a high-ankle sprain, and Jacob Cowing has been nursing a hamstring injury since the first practice of the training camp. Skyy Moore could potentially be the solution to these issues.
The trade was announced by NFL insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, and Mike Garafolo.
