The WWE Paid Tribute to Hulk Hogan at SmackDown in Cleveland

The WWE presented a heartfelt tribute to Hulk Hogan at the SmackDown event in Cleveland on Friday. Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque narrated a video highlighting Hogan’s illustrious career, showcasing his iconic moments, WrestleMania performances, and more. The 71-year-old passed away on Thursday morning following cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

The news of Hogan’s passing sent shockwaves across the globe. President Donald Trump, alongside his family and several WWE stars, paid emotional tributes to the legendary wrestler-turned-reality TV star.

“WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global fame in the 1980s,” WWE stated following his death.

Police confirmed they responded to a medical emergency at Hogan’s residence due to cardiac arrest. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump expressed, “We lost a great friend today, the ‘Hulkster.’ Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. His electrifying speech at the Republican National Convention remains a highlight. He entertained fans worldwide, and his cultural impact was immense. To his wife, Sky, and family, we send our warmest wishes and deepest love. Hulk Hogan will be sorely missed!”

Sylvester Stallone shared, “Meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 was a pleasure. His remarkable talent made Rocky III incredibly special. My heart breaks knowing he’s left us…”

VP JD Vance shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Hulk Hogan was a great American icon. One of the first people I ever admired as a child. Last time I saw him, we promised to share a beer next time. Unfortunately, that meeting will have to wait until the other side, my friend. Rest in peace.”
