Gonzalez is not the Bulgarian’s first high-profile partner; he previously dated tennis superstar Maria Sharapova in the early 2010s and later had a long-term relationship with American musical artist Nicole Scherzinger.

Dimitrov was forced to exit despite leading by two sets, succumbing to a freak injury that led to emotional scenes for one of the most amiable players on the tour.
Encouraging news indeed for both Gonzalez and Dimitrov as he returns to tennis, gradually easing himself back to playing form ahead of the latter stages of the tennis season. The Bulgarian has been showing some of his finest tennis lately, realizing the potential that seemed elusive in his 20s.
