Serving as Chief Digital Equity Officer at World Mobile, Thompson is committed to providing internet access to underserved areas, targeting millions globally who currently lack a comfortable online connection.

Thompson’s mission with World Mobile is to connect people deprived of easy internet access. His role isn’t cosmetic, he has a deep-rooted belief in the company’s mission of providing internet services to the global populace, particularly poor or rural areas where major network providers find it too costly to establish internet networks. World Mobile intends to change this scenario with a unique peer-to-peer system. Instead of investing in costly towers, ordinary individuals can host small devices, termed ‘AirNodes’, which help in creating an extensive network to broadcast the internet in innovative ways.
