Zach Bryan Fans Swift-Kanye Feud, Bans Kansas City Shows
Country music artist Zach Bryan is once again creating a stir amongst fans of the Kansas City Chiefs. Bryan, a known fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, recently declared that he would “never play in Kansas City” again, further igniting his feud with Chiefs fans.
Bryan’s controversy kicked off after a comment about the Chiefs’ loss to the Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl, ending the former’s hopes of a historic three-peat win. Bryan posted, “Where are all the three peat people from last year:/” online, and received mixed responses. Bryan stuck by his contentious statement even after a user pointed out he was alienating a potential fanbase.
Bryan’s comments extended beyond refusing to do concerts. In response to a fan’s sarcastic suggestion to remove Kansas City from his live album, Bryan quickly agreed. His track ‘Fifth of May – Live from Kansas City’ remains on Spotify as of August 10th, despite the jibe. Bryan also made fun of NFL officiating and continued to aggravate Chiefs’ fans by joking about how easy it was to upset them.
This isn’t Bryan’s first controversy involving the Chiefs’ culture. In September 2024, he compared Taylor Swift to Kanye West in a post which read, ‘Eagles > chiefs. Kanye > Taylor’. He later apologized for this tweet, blaming it on drunken tweeting and stating he respected Swift’s music.
With his vow to never return to Kansas City, it remains to be seen how his playful rivalry could impact his relationship with Chiefs’ fans in Missouri.
